Pronouns: he/him/his

Hello! I’m Eric Rodríguez. I use he/him/his pronouns. I’m a cis-gender man with light brown skin, curly black hair, and brown eyes. I’m from the land of the Nipmuc people (Massachusetts, United States) and a descendant of Boriken (Puerto Rico).

What is your role at cosyn?

I like to write, strategize, and find creative ways to bring people together. At cosyn, that means I find new and exciting opportunities to partner with people. My work includes asking the deeper questions and creating shared meaning for how we want to be as individuals and as groups. This translates into co-created strategic plans, being a growth thought partner, and group facilitation.

How did you get here?

I started my career as a racial justice community organizer. That experience, along with my identity, inspired me to embed co-creation into all levels of decision-making. I pursued a career in public policy, which includes experience working in and with cities on their equitable policy engagement with community-based organizations and advising on community co-creation for cities across the United States. I co-started cosyn because I believe policies do not go far enough and reach the culture change that is needed in our organizations. Because I enjoy learning and enriching my understanding of the “why,” I obtained an undergraduate degree in philosophy and public policy from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
